NSCDC Epe Divisional Officer Pays Familiarization Visit to Augustine University Management

In a bid to strengthen the relationship between security agencies and educational institutions, the Divisional Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Epe, alongside his team, paid a familiarization visit to the Management of Augustine University on Wednesday, 24th January, 2024.

The NSCDC team was warmly received by the University Management team at the University Senate Chamber.

During the meeting, the Divisional Officer, Olayinka Fiyinfolu (SC) expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of a strong partnership between security agencies and academic institutions.
 
He highlighted the need for a proactive approach to ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and the entire University community, assuring the University Management of NSCDC’s readiness to collaborate and provide support to enhance the overall security infrastructure of the Institution.

In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Odetunde expressed gratitude for the NSCDC's commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens. 

He acknowledged the critical role of security agencies in maintaining a conducive environment for learning and commended the NSCDC's efforts in this regard.
Present at the meeting included the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Rev. Fr.) Anthony Akinwale (OP), the Registrar, Mrs. Margaret Aziba, Acting Bursar, Mrs. Mary Ajibulu and the Chief Security Officer of the University, Mr. Johnson Aremu.
