Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science
The criteria for admission into the PGD programme will be as follows:
(i) All candidates must have five credit passes including English, Mathematics and three (3)
other relevant science subjects at ‘O’ Level.
(ii) Candidates with Bachelor’s degree from an approved university must obtain a minimum
of pass degree in the relevant science discipline.
(iii) Holders of HND in relevant programmes from approved institutions with a minimum of
Upper Credit may also be considered for admission.

Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree Computer Science
Five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one of
Biology, Economics and Geography is required for all postgraduate programmes. In addition:
(i) B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of Second-
Class Lower Division from AUI or any other university recognized by the senate of
Augustine University.

(ii) A PGD in Computer Science from AUI or other recognized universities by the Senate of
Augustine University for candidates with a third-class degree.
(iii) Candidates with at least a lower credit in Higher National Diploma (HND) and
University PGD with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 may be considered for admission.
(iv) Candidates shall be required to participate in a postgraduate screening exercise to
qualify for admission.

M.Phil/Ph.D Degree in Computer Science
(i) Admission is open to candidates who possess a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in
Computer Science or its equivalent with CGPA of 3.50 - 3.99 from Augustine
University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Augustine University.
(ii) A candidate who must have obtained a minimum CGPA of 4
