Augustine University on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 conducted a comprehensive workshop on examination invigilation in preparation for the upcoming second semester examinations. 

The event, which took place at the university's Convocation Hall, was designed to equip faculty and staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure the integrity of the examination process.

While addressing the academic staff members of AUI, the Registrar, Mrs. Margaret Aziba emphasized the importance of adhering to the university's motto and philosophy. 

She noted that guiding principles, which focus on academic excellence, integrity, and holistic development, form the bedrock of Augustine University's approach to education and were highlighted as essential components in upholding the standards of the examination process.

Other facilitators elaborated on the University's stringent examination regulations, providing detailed instructions on the roles and responsibilities of invigilators, stressing the importance of vigilance and fairness in monitoring exams. 

A significant portion of the workshop was dedicated to discussing examination malpractices and strategies to curb them. 

Participants were reminded of the critical need to create an environment that is conducive to fair assessment, ensuring that every student has an equal opportunity to succeed based on their merit.
