AUI Donates Walkie-Talkies to Ilara Security Team to Boost Community Safety In a proactive move to strengthen local security and enhance community engagement, Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, on Wednesday, 18th June 2025, presented five walkie-talkie devices to the Ilara Security Team. The presentation took place at the University’s Senate Chamber. The University Management, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Odetunde, received the security delegation headed by Comrade Abdulrasaq Talabi, the Chairman of the Community Development Association (CDA) of Ilara Kingdom and Head of the Ilara Security Team. While presenting the communication devices, Professor Odetunde reiterated the University’s commitment to its host community, describing the donation as part of its corporate social responsibility and a vital step toward enhancing security coordination and emergency response within Ilara. In his response, Comrade Talabi expressed deep appreciation for the University’s thoughtful gesture, describing it as timely and commendable.  He noted that the walkie-talkies would significantly enhance operational communication among security operatives, especially during surveillance, patrols, and emergency responses.                                                   Present at the presentation were key members of the University Management and administrative team, including the Registrar, Mrs. Margaret Aziba; the Acting Bursar, Mrs. Mary Ajibulu; the Senior Assistant Registrar, Miss Agatha Ajuka; and the University Public Relations Officer, Miss Moyinoluwa Ajayi.
