AUI Holds Career Fair 2025: Experts Inspire Students to Embrace Innovation and Creativity

Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, hosted Career Fair 2025 on Friday, 27th June, 2025 with the theme: "Empowering Tomorrow: Bridging Innovation, Business, and Creativity." Held at the Convocation Hall, the event brought together industry experts, staff, and students in a dynamic exchange of knowledge, inspiration, and networking.

The Keynote Speaker, Dr. Amarachukwu Obayiuwana from the Department of Biological Sciences, set the tone for the day by emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge and creativity in building sustainable careers for the future.

The Career Fair featured a robust panel session with professionals from diverse fields who shared their insights on navigating the evolving job landscape:

- Dr. John Ibanga, who represented Prof. Ene Obaje, the Head of Department, Mass Communication and Media Studies, spoke on the significance of adaptability and continuous learning.

- Mr. Babatunde Abiola, a seasoned programmer, encouraged students to embrace digital skills and stay updated with tech trends.

- Rev. Sr. Josephine Tiav, a counselor, offered guidance on managing career anxiety and making purpose-driven decisions.

- Mr. Saanu Olomo, Head of Traditional Off-Trade and Open Market at Guinness Nigeria, provided valuable perspectives on marketing, sales, and consumer engagement.

Students had the opportunity to explore job opportunities, learn from professionals, and connect with potential mentors. The fair also served as a platform for discovering various career paths and understanding the expectations of today’s employers.
