Augustine University Enters Lenten Season with Ash Wednesday Observance

Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, solemnly commemorated Ash Wednesday with the celebration of the Holy Mass at the Chapel of Mary Mother of the Church, marking the beginning of the Lenten season.

The Holy Mass was attended by members of the University community, including management, staff, students, and other faithful, who gathered in an atmosphere of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.

During the liturgy, ashes were blessed and imposed on the foreheads of the faithful, symbolizing repentance, humility, and the call to conversion as the Church begins its forty-day journey of Lent.
