AUI Moves to Strengthen Global Standing with New Strategic Plan Committee

The Vice-Chancellor of Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Rev. Fr. Professor Anthony Alaba Akinwale, OP, on Thursday, 26th March, 2026, inaugurated members of the University’s Strategic Planning Committee at the Senate Chamber.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the Committee has a critical role in shaping the future direction of the University. He noted that members are expected to identify the core objectives, goals and values of Augustine University, as well as develop a clear roadmap for achieving them. He further stated that the Committee would explore practical strategies for attaining these goals in alignment with the University’s mission and vision.

According to him, the Committee is tasked with producing a comprehensive five-year strategic plan that will not only strengthen the institution internally but also enhance its global visibility, improve its ranking, and foster meaningful collaborations and linkages with relevant institutions.

In her remarks, the Chairperson of the Committee, Professor Roseangela Nwuba, assured the University Management of the Committee’s commitment to delivering on its mandate. She pledged to ensure that members work collaboratively and efficiently to achieve the set objectives within the stipulated timeframe.

Members of the Strategic Planning Committee include Professor Grace Evbuomwan, Professor Zaccheaus Omogbadegun, Professor Adelodun Kolapo, Dr. Ngozi Chikere, Dr. Rukevwe Olughor, Mrs. Omowunmi Rojaiye, Dr. Emmanuel Ogundele, Rev. Sr. Adebola Daramola, Engr. Tunde Bello, Mr. Michael Afuwape, and Mr. Michael Okodua.
