The second presentation was delivered by Dr. Gbemisola Soyombo of the Department of English on "Deictic Analysis of Selected Political News Reports in Nigerian Newspapers." The paper explored the use of language and deictic expressions in political news reporting, providing valuable insights into how linguistic choices shape public understanding of political events. Both presentations generated lively discussions as participants engaged the presenters during the question-and-answer sessions, contributing diverse perspectives and enriching the discourse.
