The Proprietor of Augustine University, the Archbishop of Lagos Archdiocese, Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins paid a courtesy visit to the University on Friday, 15th of June 2018. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S.O. Afolami, the Registrar and her husband, Prof. and Mrs. Aziba as well as the Acting Chaplain, Rev. Fr. E. Ogundele were on campus to receive His Grace.
The Vice-Chancellor updated the Archbishop on the various projects in the University and also about the students. He mentioned that the students were rounding up their Students’ Week activities that weekend. The arrival of His Grace coincided with the end of the celebration of Holy Mass, and he expressed his gladness at the students’ attendance of Mass. His Grace urged the students to keep up the Mass attendance and prayed for them also.
The Vice-Chancellor used the opportunity to inform His Grace about the maiden convocation ceremony of the University, which would be held in 2019 at a date to be determined later.
