Students of Augustine University, Ilara, who are on the Vice-Chancellor’s and Dean’s Honour List paid a courtesy visit to Nestoil Towers in Victoria Island, Lagos on the 20th of October 2017. Nestoil, which is one of Nigeria’s biggest oil and gas firms, was chosen as part of an exposure programme put in place for students of the institution across various disciplines. It was an opportunity for the students to be exposed to the latest trends in the corporate world, which could help facilitate their choice of career and equally broaden their knowledge base on eco-friendly technologies which help in the preservation of the environment. The group was received by the facility manager, of Nestoil Towers, Mr. Bob Daglish and some other members of staff. Nestoil Towers, which houses Nestoil is the first “green building” in Nigeria and it is run on renewable energy sources. The company prides itself on being an eco-friendly industry through its contribution towards the protection and preservation of the ecosystem even in its architectural designs. Furthermore, the company practices the ‘waste not, want not” policy of recycling waste products in order to reduce wastage while still carrying out its legitimate business.
