For the first time in the history of the University, Augustine University participated in the recently held Inter-University Debate Competition which took place at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife on 13th April, 2018. The topic of the debate was “Nigerian Government Should Use Force for Peace,” a topic which Augustine University was to be in opposition. It was a novel and exciting experience for the students who had the opportunity to interact with their colleagues from other citadels of learning and also see the historical town of Ile-Ife. Out of the 13 universities that competed, the AUI team emerged 6th, ahead of some Federal and State Universities
The University was ably represented at the competition, by Miss Clara Nwadinigwe, a 300 Level student of the Department of English and Miss Olivia Nwonye, a 200 Level student of the Department of Accounting and Finance.
